تدعوكم اللجنة الثقافية الفنية في الحزب الشيوعي اللبناني، ضمن نشاطها الثقافيّ "نقاشات" إلى حضور فيلم "شهيد"، للمخرج مازن خالد، في سينما ميتروبوليس، يوم الاربعاء ٢٥ تموز ٢٠١٨ الساعة ٨.
أربعة شبان أصدقاء، جمعهم التهميش على اختلاف مذاهبهم، يخرجون من بين جدران الأزقة ليفتحوا صدورهم للبحر. غرق أحدهم المفاجئ يجبر اصدقاءه على التعامل مع أحاسيسهم بالفقدان، ويضعهم في مواجهة مع الطقوس والمراسيم الدينية. رحلة الحياة والموت، التي تستمر ليوم واحد، تحتفل بالجسد وتكشف عن الضغوط التي تسيّر حياة هؤلاء الشبان، كما لتفضح خطوط الصدع التي تقسم مجتمع المدينة.

The LCP's Arts and Culture Committee cordially invites you to its weekly event, Nekashat (Discussions).
This week we will be screening "Martyr", a movie directed by Mazen Khaled, in Cinema Metropolis, on Wednesday the 25th of July 2018, at 8 pm.
Four young friends from different sects, brought together by the social and economic marginalization, leave the walls of their houses and streets and meet at the beach. The sudden drowning of one of them forces the rest of them to deal with feelings of loss, and pits them against the religious tradition. The one-day journey of life and death celebrates the body and reveals pressures that the young men go through, while revealing cracks dividing the society in this city.
The film is followed by a discussion with producer Diala Kashmar and DOP Rachelle Noja.
The film has English subtitles.
