B’Tselem-Produced Flick Screened at Film Festival in Iraqi Kurdistan

The film The Boy from H2, directed by Helen Yanovsky and produced by B’Tselem, was recently screened at a special Berlinale Spotlight event in Dohuk, Iraqi Kurdistan. A spokesperson from B’Tselem said, “This is the first Berlinale Spotlight screening at the Duhok film festival, and we were very excited to be taking part in the event.”

The film, which premiered in last year’s Berlinale Shorts festival follows 12-year-old Muhammad Burqan, who lives in Area H2 of Hebron, a section of the city under full Israeli occupation.

Thus far the film has been screened at the Vienna Shorts, Melbourne International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival & Palm Springs Short Fest, and the Kyiv International Short Film Festival.
