The Chief Minister of the state of Kerala, comrade Pinarayi Vijayan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued an appeal for solidarity for his flood stricken state.

Monsoon rains have produced massive flooding.  More than 300 people are reported to have lost their lives, with more than 150,000 people displaced.  There is extensive property and economic damage. A bulletin from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) informs us that “for the first time in history, 27 dams had to be opened“ because of the massive rainfall.

All are asked to help out with donations to help the stricken people of Kerala rebuild their lives.
